    Does anyone smoke Northerns ? I was goin to try a batch but didn't get all of them scaled yesterday before the cold snap. Wondering if it really matters if the scales are on or off ? Some of them filleted and some I just removed the head / tail and guts.

    The old jiffy grabs and stops dead and about throws me into the wall 3 or 4 times every hole, It's tough on things, Is there an 8'' blade that works good re-open holes ? Hand powered or electric drill powered would be options too.

    Stopped at walmart for smelt for fishing and all they had were wild caught ,headless and gutted . I thought what the heck and bought them anyway then I got to wondering what they taste like so I pan fried half a dozen. yuck. Is that common or did I do something wrong ?

    Costco VS Sam's Club

    Do either of these places have competive prices on most items ? Last time I was in Costco I wasn't impressed with the prices they had on what I was shopping for. We dropped Sam's club a few years ago because there were no bargains to be had , now Costco seems the same way. .
